Brooks Landegger recently joined American Ballet Theatre and has danced as a Principal Guest Artist for Czech National Ballet and New York City Ballet.

Born in New York, Landegger began his training at School of American Ballet under Jock Soto, Arch Higgins, and Andrei Kramarevsky. He performed the Children’s Repertory at New York City Ballet, The Metropolitan Opera, and starred nationally as an award-winning Billy Elliot. Landegger later joined Boston Ballet II under Peter Stark, where he was awarded by National YoungArts Foundation, and Miami City Ballet under Lourdes Lopez, where he was named a Knight Arts Champion for his contributions to the cultural community of South Florida.

His Repertory includes Romeo in John Cranko’s Romeo and Juliet, Prince Siegfried in Alexei Ratmansky’s Swan Lake, Espada in Susan Jaffe’s Don Quixote, Escamillo in Annabelle Lopez-Ochoa’s Carmen, and leading roles in George Balanchine’s Agon, Allegro Brillante, Brahms-Schoenberg Quartet, Chaconne, Concerto Barocco, Divertimento No. 15, Emeralds, Firebird, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Nutcracker, Serenade, Stars and Stripes, Tchaikovsky Pas de Deux, La Valse, and Walpurgisnacht, Jerome Robbins’ Concertino, Glass Pieces, In the Night, and West Side Story, and Ratmansky’s Concerto DSCH and Pictures at an Exhibition. His debut of Romeo was named a Standout Performance of 2022 by Pointe Magazine. He has performed at Vail Dance Festival, Chautauqua Institute, The Joyce Theater, Works & Process, and for lectures at New York Public Library. Landegger has been featured in Live from Lincoln Center’s George Balanchine’s The Nutcracker® and The Art of Partnering with Peter Martins.
